The chicken fried steak episode was by far my favorite, I could practically taste that meal while they were cooking it! I'll bet that woman's house smelled unbelievable!

Jean, I am sorry I am so late in responding. I missed your message here. Well welcome to these boards. There won't be anything nasty going on here if I can help it and I have the power of the delete button! I don't want to hear anything nasty about adorable Tyler. LOL

Yes, I did come from the FN boards. I posted as AngieW, who is actually my mother! I was looking for a recipe for her on the FN site and found the boards, about a month before they shut down, so I didn't post much over there. I actually started out reading the Semi Homemade section, but grew real tired of the constant insults, etc. to that woman. I can't believe some people have that much time to devote to a show that they don't like. And to constantly put it down, well it just gets real tiring!

Anyway, I found the Paula board and some of the other boards that are "more my speed" so to speak. I'm real sorry the FN boards are going down, but I really like this board. It has all the bells and whistles and then some, and you can read this one a little easier, IMO.

Looking forward to joining in the group!!!!

BTW......My name is Jean!!!!

My favorite recipe that Tyler made was a recent one he did with a lady from Dallas, Texas. He made chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with greens and homemade biscuits. That's my kinda food. I am a Texas girl as well. My mouth was actually watering while watching the show.

I recently threw a swanky party and made the procutto wrapped fig appetizers that Tyler made for his firend Olivia's birthday party on Food 911. Everyone adored them!
Also tried the duck recipie( the one with the apple stuffing) also a hit.
I'm dying to make the paella he made from the ultimate show. Looks awesome, I'm just waiting for a special occasion with lots of people.

Favorite Tyler's Recipe

This is an oldie from Food 911, but his Hot & Sour Thai soup is fabulous. I followed it exactly, challange is finding real kaffir lime leaves (I did, & froze a batch). We dine out at alot of great asian restaurants, have tried countless recipes, and felt like we were sitting in Bangkok! Make sure to try this one! :P

Re: Favorite Tyler's Recipe

Where did you find the kaffir lime leaves? I have never seen them around here?

It sure sounds like I need to get busy fixing some exotic Tyler's recipes. I am going to Houston next week. I am going to look for those lime leaves. I hope I find them and then I am going to take your suggestion and freeze the rest.
