Living as a vegetarian - is it healthy or just an ethical point? What do you think? Is it easy to find recipes respectively the ingredients?

I dont think it is healthy, since protein is a huge part of a diet. I never understood how vegans were healthy.

I've heard that cereals contain lots of proteins and it is just a habit to eat meat. What do you think?

YinYang,
You are correct that grains have protein. So do vegetables and fruits. Beans and legumes are dense with protein and we know soy to be the most perfect of them.

Actually a vegetarian diet is more healthful than an animal based one. We are well informed about the drawbacks of saturated fat and cholesterol. Many gold medal athletes are veg and excellent examples of the benefits of a vegetarian diet. Just pick-up one of many books guiding you in a proper veg diet. It's easy to eat well without including the pain and suffering of animal consumption.

A long, healthy and very happy life is possible with a plant based diet. The variety of foods and ways to prepare them is immense and exciting---it's fun!!

Yummm!
