Recipe Mod addition
Hey gang, we have a new add on to the forums. Its a recipe mod, what that means is it takes you're recipes and puts them into an nice format easy for printing and adding to your cookbooks or for just quick referencing on the PC. Thus far the Recipe forums which have been converted are as follows:
Appetizers
Beverages and Cocktails
Breads
Casseroles
Crockpots
desserts
holiday
kid proof
Over the next few days we will be converting all the other forums in the "Share your recipes" section to the new recipe mod format. Go take a look at the above forums to see what the new format looks like. Another nice feature of this mod is all recipes you submit will show you at the bottom of your profile. So if someone submits alot of recipes you like you can just click into their profile and check out what they've submitted lately.

I love the new shiny look, it's so clean and well organized. Thank you for that! It really is so much easier on the eyes as well. The profile mod is a wonderful idea too. Thumbs up for the new addition from me.

I recently saw it also in one of the recipes I posted. I like it, because it makes it easy for me to post recipes. I'm scatter-brained, so naturally the new organised look, gives me more incentive to line up my thoughts, so that other people know what the heck I'm talking about.

glad its being well received. I will continue converting posts over to the recipe format over the weekend. Hopefully by early next week the entire recipe section will be converted at that point.

To be honest, the mod is sort of irritating me. When I copy&paste in recipes, it formats them weird and I don't know how to fix it
Sorry to complain btw, it is kinda handy regardless.

Hi--
I have to agree with Chef D....If you copy and paste the recipe you want to send...it takes much longer because you have to delete lots of it to make it fit into the specified spaces...There have been a few times that I just didn't even bother to post the recipe.
Sorry, but that's my opinion.
hugs,
peg

sorry gang. Once you understand the fields and how they work its not that difficult though. The point of the recipe section is to post recipes that you all have tried and love. If you are just randomly posting recipes from other sites then we've lost the point of the section. I believe the mod cuts down on people just posting stuff to post it.
