Prayers needed

If any of you are cat people, I really need your prayers now. Our indoor "Andy-Panda" black & White tuxedo cat escaped out the front door late Saturday night, and we have not been able to find him. We spent the entire night searching, came home for a little while and spent all day yesterday searching. He only has rear claws, so is fairly defenseless, and with temps soaring to 100 each day, and no water, I really fear for his life. He hasn't eaten since Sat morning. He had his collar & tags on, but he's pretty good at getting that off. He's terrified of stange or loud noises, so no telling what he's going through right now. This guy is very special to us, so please send positive thoughts this way that he returns safely.

Stephanie, he just turned 1 yr old on July 4th. He's large...a "tuxedo cat", with huge fluffy feet and funny little tufts behind his ears.

Today I went to Norfolk Animal Management, and posted flyers around the entire neighborhood. We got a call of a sighting, but I think it may have been a hoax. People can be so cruel. I'm on pins & needles, and can't sleep.

Keep praying. He needs to come home!

Not found yet, Elle?

I know how painful it is to lose a pet. We lost our dog Henry last February. He was 7 years old and pure-bred Beagle. We've posted signs everywhere and had a few calls, but it wasn't him. My heart breaks everytime I go check out the calls and it's not him. I know the people mean well though. I've lost a few more like this in the past. Not knowing what happened to them is the worst.

Hope you find him soon...still praying.

Kathy

No luck yet. We have had to replace flyers twice...people are tearing them down. I continue to check at Norfolk Animal Management daily, and the cat hospital that's 4 block from us. We search the neighborhood a couple times each day (very early in the morning and again around dusk, thinking he won't come out in this brutal 103 degree heat), shaking his bag of treats, etc.

This has consumed every part of me. In my lifetime I've had over 10 cats, and Andy is THE most unique one ever. The thought of him not being here is unbearable. My other cat, Salem, has started looking in all of Andy's favorite "nap" spots, and howling for him. It's one of the saddest sounds I've ever heard.

Elle - I'm was thinking of you and Andy today - I drove down to Frisco to join Robert for a few days. Still no luck? Don't give up - many years ago our family had a male cat that would wonder off for 3 to 4 days. Andy sounds so pretty - that I would suspect "foul play". I just hope if someone took him - they will bring him back. I'm sure you are going "crazy" now

If only it were "foul play", but Andy's neutered, and has been since he was 6 mos old. We've replaced all the flyers yet again today (someone keeps taking them down), and they include a picture, and complete description. I had a call this morning of another sighting, but when I got there, I couldn't find him, after searching for about an hour. I really worry about him in this opressive heat. It was 103 in the shade again today.

That's great there was another sighting - was it far from your home?

Keep the faith -
