Libra,
You should tell them about your house and post pictures of it.

I'm not nuts!!! I'm a native. Since Charley is hitting on a Friday, there will be parties all over the place.
They are actually planning to cut power to Downtown Tampa and surrounding areas. THAT makes it real to me. There isn't a D-Cell batter to be found in this town!
Publix Supermarkets have truck loads of water at each store. They have lowered the price to 50 cents per gallon.

Thanks, Daisy. I think all we'll get is a lot of rain. Marzipan and Daisy Mae and GardenGirl are going to get the brunt of the storm. I'm sure there are others who I can't think of right now.

Oh marzipan! You know I'm just kidding. I'm worried about you guys down there. Hurricanes are nothing to mess with, but You'll be ok as long as you don't wander around the streets in the middle of it. Stay safe, OK!

Marzipan, hunker down!! I am really starting to get nervous about this storm. I got friends and family all along the path.
Maybe you can talk some sense into my idiot husband. They just issued a Hurricane Statement for our area...he refuses to believe it until it is on top of his head. I almost hope he gets stuck at the store tomorrow night. He never takes this stuff serious. Guess he never heard the story about the boy who cried wolf.
They say Charley could possibly become a category 3 before it hits land. They do not expect it to lose much strength between the time it hits short until it gets up here. I sure hope DaisyMae is in a safe home.
