Giada just announced on the Today Show that she is expecting her first child in early April! She said it was a total shock to her and her husband. First trimester was a bit rocky (sick), and she's only gained 2 lbs.

Oh - and it's a girl.

You beat me Elle in announcing the news. Isn't it neat! Giada seemed to be so very happy announcing the news. Giada said they picked the name out already. The little girls name will be AMY!

good for her, I am kinda on the fence regarding her shows. I like her but I don't like how she emphasizes the pronunciation of words. I'm happy for her though, she'll make a great mom I think.

Weighing in late, I'm so happy for her! I'm just happy whenever anyone is having a baby, LOL!

I love her show, but I confess, I think her recipes are a little sloppy, but that's just me.

Thanks for posting the news...I saw her last week on the "today show" and that was the first thing I noticed was her "big bump"....won't be long now...and she will be cooking with one of those baby backpacks. LOL..I'm from the old school and can't get over how things are done now days. Parents take babies out so soon. We used to keep them close to home for at least a month so they were not exposed to germs. Giada's baby will be a jet setter in no time. Just think of what "Amy" will have on her plate! Thanks again for the post.
