Thanks for the update Suzan.

Boy, the Learning Channel....thats a strange channel to carry her show. I also saw an ad for her show but now I am not sure I saw it on the learning channel. I figured one of the networks would pick it up. I hope it does okay on such an obscure channel.

From what I gather, her "lifestyles" type show will run on TLC. Her "Apprentice" type show will be on a major network (CBS or NBC)

Apparently Martha finally took the hint, played nice and now has her ankle bracelet removed.

Personally I'm glad Food Network didn't renew her contract. I won't be watching any of her shows as I get nothing out of them. As for her reality show, she'll do anything to get back into the spotlight. I've heard a lot of comments that it will only last one season since ratings will probably tank with her in the boardroom telling people "You're not suited" or something stupid like that.

I'm with ya Suzan.
I get absolutely nothing out of her shows. I can't get past her annoying voice and mannerisms.

Not to pour more oil on the fire here, since I'm just now reading these posts, but I live in Norwalk, CT which is just one town over from Westport, CT where Martha lives (lived??) and where she shot her TV shows at her house on Turkey Hill Road. All I can say is, her neighbors HATE her to death. She was nasty, vindictive, petty, and a witch with a capital "B" for the majority of the time she lived here. I can't tell you how many people I've run across who either know her personally or who have dealt with her in a retail capacity and they all say the same thing - NASTY, NASTY, NASTY. Martha is the first person I think of when I hear the word "entitled", and I mean that in all the worst ways.

As for her crime, that's exactly what it was - a crime. She is an EX-CON. She is a CRIMINAL who BROKE THE LAW. I don't care how you feel about her, how much you like her, etc., etc., no matter how you try to whitewash it, she received the sentence she deserved for the crime she committed. And if her nose is out of joint because she didn't want to deal with that, tough luck, lady. No one is above the law, not even Martha. If Donald Trump did what she did, they'd put him away too, and rightly so. They didn't "pick on her because she was a woman," that's the biggest cop-out I've ever heard, and makes a laughingstock of anyone who considers themselves a fighter for equal rights for women. Hey, if you want equal rights, then if you commit the same crime as a man, you should get the same sentence and do the same time!!!!! And hey, forcing her to have to deal one-on-one with other prisoners was probably the first experience she's ever had of giving back to the community. I can't think of one instance where it was publicised that Martha gave money to a charity, or worked on behalf of some agency that helped other people. The only person Martha ever helped was herself.

Earlier this week I saw a photo of Martha showing off her ankle bracelet, the one she's being monitored by. By the way she had complained in the press about it for months at a time, I had expected some big, huge clunky thing that weighed a ton. Lo and behold, it was just a little strip of fabric about 1" in diameter that was strapped around her leg. What a bunch of bulls**t. It's too bad they didn't make her wear a ball and chain, then she'd REALLY have something to complain about.

Sorry, but that's the way I feel.

Well said Gypsy.
Thanks for your birds eye view. I am glad it's not just me that doesn't care for her.

Gypsy, you said it all. She's so arrogant and thinks she's above the law and everyone else. I remember when she first started on Food Network, you couldn't get her recipes off the Food Network site. You had to go to Martha's site which was not at all user friendly. That was so bogus. When I found that out, I stopped watching her show as did a lot of other people.

I agree with you, mshissy.
I don't care for Martha.
She seems to think she is above everyone else.
Her new "Live" show starts tomorrow, I think. It is on NBC, as is the reality one.
I would have a nervous breakdown if I had to be in the same room as MS.

In their eyes, she's just another criminal offender who continues to think/act like she's "above the law."

I may ruffle some feathers here, but I don't understand why some of you are all hyped up about her new show. I used to admire and respect Martha a great deal. I even used alot of her decorating ideas in my home. But now......the way she is acting, I could care less what happens to her. She is no longer a positive influence in society, and I will no longer support her efforts.
