I read an article last night that says AB will be hosting new shows ICA of FN coming up in January. But Wolfgang Puck is to be replaced by Morimoto from the original Iron Chef shows.

I really want to see Emeril on it getting his butt kicked. I wonder if any of the Food Network hosts will be on there. Obviously AB won't, but could Rachel Ray hack it? I think her advantage is that she wouldn't need the full hour, just 30 minutes. But really, she'd get her ass kicked.

that would be hilarious, seeing emeril get trounced. it's funny you should mention that, because i've had a severe dislike for bobby flay ever since i saw him on the original (?) show acting like a jerk. but anyways.

But then on the other hand, if he did, and if he won, we'd all know for sure the program is rigged.

i'm not going to try an convince you otherwise. it was the first time i'd ever seen him, he acted very unprofessional, and it just left a sour taste in my mouth. i haven't ever watched him except for that, so i'm probably not giving him a fair chance. but then, the only thing i really ever watch is good eats, so i guess that's not surprising.

how about sandra lee? Maybe they could give her a box of hamburger helper and let her work her magic.

Or maybe marc summers. Al Roker? C'mon, you don't get on the food network if you can't cook, right?

I actually think that would make for a much more challenging competition. You have a can of tuna fish, a jar of peanut butter, a loaf of bread, some lettuce, and leftover chinese -- now make a gourmet meal!

Door Knock Dinners used to kill me, because they'd show up a this ritzy house and there would be tuna steaks or filet mignon in the fridge, and some arugula, jasmine rice, etc etc. Ohhh hard.

Daetara, I'm with you. I was very put off by Flay in the original. I have an active dislike for him as well.

I have watched the ICAs that have been on so far and I'm sorry that AB isn't featured more. Too much Flay and not enough AB for my tastes, I'm afraid.
