HomeTalkCafe is back!!
Hello everyone. I'm sure there are lots of questions and thats expected. First let me introduce myself to you. My name is Chris, I will be one of your new admins from this point on along with my wife Marsha. You will also see some other Admins floating around but they will mostly be working on the code for the site. One in particular that you'll see is Kai, he is our technical admin and will be addressing our board issues and upgrades. If you have any questions at all please direct them to either Marsha or I and we'll get you the answer asap, if we can't fix the problem then that's where our buddy Kai comes in
As you can tell, the place looks alot different and is now under new ownership. We'd like to thank the previous owner for all their hard work and its obvious how hard they worked to make Homecafetalk what it is today. Marsha and I work for a company called Forum Factory, they are a German based group who have expanded here in the states to create an international Forum community.
We are admins on the American side of the company. Forum Factory is the group who purchased Homecafetalk and their goal when buying out sites like this is to simply make them better and more successful.
So, that is why we are here. Over the next few days your going to see alot of changes. For one all the German wording and buttons will be replaced with American wording and the sites style will be changed to something more appealing to the food discussions. We are also going to be doing some forum reorganization and get this community talking again.
We hope you all are as excited as we are to be here and we look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you.
Sincerely, Chris

Hello everyone. I'm really excited about this forum. I'm a big fan of all the cooking shows on Food Network. I'm not the greatest cook in the world, but somehow Chris and I have survived 10 years of marriage and not starved to death, so I must be doing something right. Anyway, I've been helping my husband run vbulletin based forums for about 5 years now. Our very first forum was about videogames. Not being a gamer, I still managed to make 9,000+ posts over there. So, I do enjoy forums. I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone here and watching the site continue to succeed.
So, let's get posting!!!

Me too! Thanks for all your hard work. I would be lost without my forums when I am having a cooking crisis or need a new recipe.

So Glad You're Back
I just thought I had lost you to cyberspace somewhere. When I first signed on in 2004 I was pretty much a computer dummy and we were also in the process of moving to the country after living in the same house for 47 yrs. Anyway so happy to have a nice pleasant and fun place to talk "recipes and cooking" again.
Thanks for all your hard work in getting this up and running. It is appreciated by this Great Grandmother(another thing that happened while you were out).
Hugs from Mommalou in the Lone Star State

Indeed, this place seems to constantly become more lively. Of course, i'll continue to help out where I can with some recipes etc.
