Has anybody ever tried to make a dish
from iron chef? Most of the time the dishes look unusual enough that I wouldn't make them, like fish ice cream, but the odd time they look good. I have tried a few and they've turned out well. Am I the only one?

Thanks for the Idea
It seems that if you follow the show regularly you can probably make most of the dishes on Iron Chef. Most of the dishes look very tasty and creative.
Unfortunately I have not attained Iron Chef status and I am still stuck making basic pastas and salads. But I will write down a goal to make one of the dishes from iron chef. Maybe I will start with a good mushroom soup.

I have a cook book from Iron Chef my husband won in a contest (came with matching hat, apron and cups ) so we've tried a couple of the more normal recipes. Nothing involving exotic ingredients though.

I do not try to cook Iron Chef recipes. One because they are too weird. The second reason is they are hard to follow and often have weird ingredients.

Me too. Or I should say, me neither I love watching them work, and I love reading about and hearing about interesting and weird recipes, but I don't think I'd ever cook any of them. No one in my family would eat them, LOL!

I do not try them either. I am not ambitious enough. It is amazing how they can make meals up on the fly like they do.
