Gotta have a cocktail
Did you ever notice that she makes cocktails on every show? Who drinks everyday? Besides Sandra Lee? lol Seriously though, I do like her show a lot. I love how she color coordinates absolutely everything.

But they look so tasty! Who could pass them up?
I know what you mean about the drinking every day though. One drink and I'm buzzing. Her pina colada pie would probably be enough for me. But I wouldn't pass it up if some one made it for me. It really looked good.

I think that's what everyone notices about her - her profuse drinking.
As far as the food, however, I recommend a safe distance.

I watched a food network special and they said that she is so finicky about her sets. She finds an inspiration piece and forms the room, meals, and her outfit around them.

Her original "calling" was making those gawd awful curtains using bolts of fabric. She got a sweet deal from QVC and sold millions of them. FTV offered her a cooking show and she wasn't really interested. She told FTV that they needed to include some type of decorating theme if she was going to do a cooking show. Hence, the tablescape was born.
Poor girl needs a tini everyday. Her cooking is atrocious....

ha ha Lucky us!!
When her show is on I change the channel. Can't believe she is still on.
And they get rid of Emeril. As least his recipes are really delicious.

We can almost call her as the Cocktail Lady, who could blame her anyway. Cocktails are hard to ignore, while it is true that you can be drunk if you have too much, but it is also proven that it can help you digest your food better.

Wow, doesn't seem like Sandra has many fans here. Why does everyone dislike her so much? I've always thought the food she makes looks pretty good, and it's easy. Gotta love easy!!

Well, I like her, and what I think is being forgotten here is that her show is about entertaining, not everyday meals, which is why she includes cocktails, and gives tips on designing "tablescapes". When entertaining, eye-appeal can make or break the event. And when entertaining, cocktails should always be included, whether they are virgin or alcoholic (and she does both on her show).
FYI, Michael Chiarello's "Easy Entertaining" almost always includes cocktails and presentation ideas as well. These people are not alcoholics, they are simply presenting ideas to help in your own party-planning.

A cocktail per show is no different than how much Julia Child used to drink. I remember a long conversation in English class one day about how Julia Child was a bad roll model because she drank as much as she put in the recipes. It used to be on after Sesame Street so most of us watched it too. And any cocktail can be turned into a mocktail, the same can't e said of wine, sherry, and other alcohols.
