Cookbooks or internet recipes?

I don't have many cookbooks, I usually just use the internet. I have been using allrecipes for years, but I have branched out recently to others, including those here on the forum. I rarely crack a cookbook. It's just easier to type in what I want and hit search. I especially like the ones where you can search the ingredients for what you have on hand.

I mostly use the internet too. I have a few cookbooks but rarely open more than one. I like the internet because it's like 10,000 recipes in one. I use allrecipes too.

The only cookbook I currently own I can find is The Joy of Cooking. Its well loved, but I have begun to use internet recipes as I can be more specific with the ingredients I want to use or have on hand.

I have some special diet concerns for my family, so I do use some of my cook books quite often. Sometimes I use them in conjunction with an internet recipe so I can figure out substitutions.

I use cookbooks about half of the time and the internet the other half. Recently, I've been using the Taste of Home cookbooks and trying out cooks website on the internet. Of course, this website has some really great recipes as well.

I think cookbooks are going the way of film in photography - that is, out. Their days are limited. It's just so easy to find a ton of recipes with all kinds of variations, and visual presentations on the net. No need to mess up those expensive cookbooks.

I used to rely heavily on cookbooks. I still love them and do not want to get rid of them, but I find myself mostly looking online for the recipes I want. I like how people can leave their comments on teh recipes. It is great for someone who wants to ttry something new but does not know what version to choose.

I have lots of cookbooks but most of them are old. Some are even older than me which my mom has passed down to me. The good thing with cookbooks is that you can always cook the way food has been cooked in the old days. Sometimes I am even amazed how they cook in the old days with direct fire and the taste is more delicious than the food cooked with heat from electricity.

But I also use the internet for innovations in cooking and expanding my knowledge on ways to cook food.

I try to keep a mix up, but right now my box of recipes is over flowing. My printer is dead so what I find online I cant just print out so everything is still wrote down each one at a time. I think I need a bigger box!
