Chuck Wagon Beans
Author: Kay
Time:
one hour
Difficulty:
easy
Serving Size:
4
Description:
This is a delicious dish that kids just love! They do tend to look at like "yuck," but once they taste it they are in love!! I don't measure my ingredients, so these are just approximations. Adjust to your own taste.
Ingredients:
  1. 1 lb Ground beef/turkey
  2. 1/2 lb Bacon
  3. 3 or 4 Chopped Up Hot Dogs
  4. Large can of Molasses Style Baked Beans (or make your own)
  5. 1/2 cup Ketchup
  6. 1/4 cup Mustard
  7. 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  8. Seasoning
Preparation:
  1. Make cornbread to go with this dish. Just sprinkle it on top when you serve it.
Instructions:
  1. Brown the ground meat and bacon, drain. Add other ingredients. This can be done in a skillet or in a casserole dish. If you add it to a skillet, add a small amount of water and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. If you choose to make it in a casserole dish, mix all ingredients well and bake for 30-40 minutes. Serve with cornbread.
