Broccoli Carrot Bake
Author: funkypasta
Time:
N/A
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
N/A
Description:
This is not really a casserole but there wasn't a better forum I could see for pasta. This is a simple pasta bake that my kids love.
Ingredients:
  1. Three cups broccoli
  2. Two cups chopped carrots
  3. Three cups pasta penne
  4. One cup grated cheddar
  5. Half can tomato sauce
Preparation:
  1. Steam carrots and broccoli until tender.
  2. Cook pasta until it is al dente.
Instructions:
  1. Combine carrots, pasta and broccoli in an oven proof dish. Pour on tomato sauce and stir to make sure all is coated.
  2. Add in half of the cheese and mix.
  3. Top with remaining cheese.
  4. Bake at 325 for about 15 minutes (if dish is still warm).
  5. Alternatively you can store this in the fridge, and make it up a few days in advance. Bake in the oven from cold, for 30 minutes, covered with foil. Remove foil at the end to brown cheese.
