A vbulletin crash course?

For those of you who have never been on a vbulletin forum I was wondering if you'd like for us to highlight some of the features and how to use them on the forums? I know things are alot different from the last version of the forums and there are features on this forum that are quite useful if you understand how to work them.

a perfect place to start is in the FAQ here: http://www.hometalkcafe.com/faq.php

Check that out and over the next few days we'll add to this post with some visuals to help you all better understand vbulletin and how it works.

Thanks for the quick course. I am great with Admin/Mod, but still learning VB - I am the one that goes "OMG I cant find this", then someone tells me its in a drop down menu. Will give it a look over and ask questions if I get lost.

You've made this forum very much like my T-Bird forum, and it is very easy to navigate. Thanks!

I am having problems with my smilees. I don't have a place saying "more" for more of a selection. All smilees right now, when clicked go in the new threads on top corner of the message. Isn't there anyway to get the smilees in the message? And, on the reply thread, there isn't any smilees selection. Sometimes, you want to answer a post with a smilee.

you need to change your settings from basic to either standard or enhanced. First go into your UserCP, then click on edit options, then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and its the second from the last dropdown box entitled "Message Editor Interface" If do not set this to standard or higher it won't show you the smilies.

I've been using VB for a really long time also. If anyone has any questions or anything, feel free to shoot me a PM or catch me by the ear. I'd be more than happy to help out!
