I think Jamie means "naked" as in "natural", no additives and not a lot of sauces and rich ingredients, just fresh foods with fresh herbs and seasonings, cooked with little or no oils or fats.
One could point out that Emeril Lagasse also fits the description of a "naked" chef, but really, who wants to
SEE Emeril naked these days???
I find Jamie to be dead sexy, and it definitely is the accent and the humor.
